FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: linear displacement meter contains a differential eddy current transducer, in parallel with the excitation winding of which a capacitor is connected, forming a parallel resonant LC circuit with the excitation winding, as well as an indicator and a generator. The measuring windings of the differential eddy current transducer are connected through the first and the second rectifiers respectively to the inverting and non-inverting inputs of the differential amplifier. In addition, a current source, an amplitude detector, a scale amplifier, the second indicator, a comparing unit, and a calculating unit are input.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of the displacement measurement and expanding the functionality by simultaneous measuring the longitudinal and transverse movements of the monitored object.
