SUBSTANCE: high-temperature surface ionization source made of a single-crystal material with a body-centered cubic lattice is provided with a cylindrical through hole, which is made along the crystallographic direction [111] of the single crystal. As a single-crystal material with a body-centered cubic lattice, materials from a number of refractory materials, such as: tungsten, tantalum, molybdenum, vanadium, can be chosen.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of the surface ionization source without increasing its operating temperature and geometric dimensions.
