IONIZER OF DENSE GAS FLOWS BASED ON COMPTON EFFECT Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC H01J35/08

Abstract RU 2821363 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ionizers of dense gas flows, which are widely used in medicine, can also be used in rocketry to create a high degree of ionization of atoms and molecules in combustion chamber (CC) of small-size, liquid-propellant, jet engines (LPE). Feature of the proposed design for ionisation of a high-density gas flow of 1–50 MPa is the use of the Compton effect and photoluminescence in a monocrystalline copper anode from primary X-ray quanta of sufficiently high energy. This allows the induced secondary X-ray radiation to pass through a relatively thick layer of a forced-cooled monocrystalline copper anode of high purity of 99.999% into the working gas volume. Side of the anode facing the gas flow is coated with an additional layer of refractory material which is transparent for X-ray radiation and corresponds to the thickness of the working pressure in the combustion chamber.

EFFECT: higher of work, reliability and increased service life of the ionizer of gas flows with oxide cathode of indirect intensity during additional focusing on the anode of electron flow by the magnetic field of the coil.
