FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to increase the intraocular lens (IOL) haptic element effective area support in cases of cataract surgery with extensive defects in the lens ligament. Through a 2.2 mm wide corneal incision an intracapsular ring is inserted, using a cartridge and an injector with a soft plunger, a flexible two-plane pupil IOL of the RSP-3 model is inserted behind the iris, after which the front haptic element is led to the anterior chamber to the anterior surface of the iris, and the rear haptic element is filled into the capsular bag.
EFFECT: application of the invention will reduce postoperative complications such as retina detachment and rupture, cystic macular edema, vitreous hernia, IOL dislocation, progression of age-related macular degeneration, ensure high postoperative visual acuity, stable IOL position, normal anatomical relationship of intraocular structures, and ophthalmic hypertension prevention in the postoperative period.
