FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and aims at surgical treatment of complicated cataract. An intraocular lens RSP-3 is implanted through a self-sealing incision 2.2 mm by placing a posterior haptic part of the lens into a cartridge of an injector pre-filled with a viscoelastic. With an anterior haptic part pressed, a lens is folded along the cartridge, used to fill the cartridge and implanted in an anterior chamber.
EFFECT: use of the presented method enables implanting the RSP-3 lens through the self-sealing incision 2,2 mm with no lens deformation in the cartridge with considerably reduced potential postoperative astigmatism and provided high visual acuity in the patient.
