FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: after cataract extraction, an intracapsular ring is implanted into the capsular bag. After that, the IOL is implanted in the anterior chamber on the anterior surface of the iris, the haptic elements of the IOL are placed between the iris and the anterior capsule, the optical part is filled into the capsular bag, which, as a result, acquires an oval shape. After that, two additional opposite paracentesis of the cornea is performed along the minor axis of the oval capsulorhexis, and then through these paracentesis to the periphery from the edge of the optical part, peripheral local capsulotomies of the anterior capsule are mechanically performed.

EFFECT: method allows minimizing complications during surgery, in early and late postoperative periods in patients after cataract phacoemulsification complicated by lens subluxation with IOL implantation.
