SUBSTANCE: method provides for receiving the target value of the charging current and actual value of the charging current during the charging process. The target value of the charging current is a required value of the charging current set for the current charging process. The actual value of the charging current is a measured value of the current from the storage batteries. Calculation of a consumed current value according to the target value of the charging current and the actual value of the charging current. The calculation includes calculating a difference value between the target value of the charging current and the actual value of the charging current which are obtained in one and the same sampling time point and calculating a mean value of at least one difference value within a predetermined period of time, as a value of the consumed current. The predetermined time period includes at least one sampling time point and setting of the target value of the charging current in accordance with the value of the consumed current. The setting includes a request for the corresponding specified ratio based on the value of the consumed current to obtain the target value of the charging current and the corresponding value of the consumed current. The corresponding ratio comprises of at least one range of values of consumed current and of at least one target value of the charging current corresponding to at least one range of values of consumed current, respectively.

EFFECT: reduction of power consumption and heat release.
