FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: meniscus restoration kit comprises the first tissue fixing member configured to attach the meniscal tissue, anchor thread fixator, the first thread, and a fixing insert. The anchor thread fixator comprises a proximal end, a distal end, a central axis extending therein, a hole and a relief outer surface. The first thread is configured to be connected to the first tissue fixing member and adapted to pass through the hole of the anchor thread fixator. The first tissue fixing member is arranged so that at first tissue fixing member installation, the first tissue fixing member may be reoriented, so that the longitudinal axis of the first tissue fixing member is parallel to the contact surface of the meniscus tissue. The anchor thread fixator comprises a longitudinal bore formed along the central axis of the anchor thread fixator configured to receive the fixing insert. A longitudinal bore formed in the anchor thread fixator is a threaded hole. The fixing insert has a threaded outer surface configured to engage the threaded hole of the anchor thread fixator. The method for meniscus restoration includes provision of the first tissue fixing member configured to attach the meniscal tissue, anchor thread fixator, the first thread and the fixing insert.
