FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: for a comparative evaluation of intercellular matrix proteins content in regenerating tissues in different terms of reparative process, immunohistochemical preparations are photographed. Digital photomicrography is downloaded to Adobe Photoshop Extended, version CS3-CS6. The intercellular matrix proteins content is determined programmatically using the integrated "Colour Range" and "Measurement Log" modules. Areas of the sections of structures containing the proteins under investigation are automatically isolated and calculated in digital images. The relative content of proteins in tissues is calculated according to the formula RBD(%)=(Sa/St)x100, where RBD is relative bulk density, Sa is the total area of all selected regions on the analysed image, St is the total area of the digital image.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of comparative evaluation and to obtain objective data on intercellular matrix proteins content in regenerating tissues due to automation of the evaluation process.
