FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and biology, particularly to immunohistochemistry. There is offered method for determination of specific vascular density within immunochemical tissue assay. A tissue sample is analysed herewith involving monoclonal antibodies to CD34 that are used to detect vascular endotheliocytes. The entire area of the analysed tissue section is digitised with using a film scanner. In Adobe Photoshop program, the prepared image is multi-stage contrast-enhanced, including colour positioning, blurring and brightness variation of the specimen image. The specific vascular density is calculated as ratio of vessel number to the area of the analysed tissue.

EFFECT: possibility to determine the specific vascular density per a space unit of the analysed tissue sample.
