FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: bipolar plate of a fuel round-shaped cell (FC) consisting of cathode and anode metal separation plates with channels for the supply of reagents, which are valleys between the embossed projections, contains a marginal and a central zones. Opposite location of the entrance and exit of the reagent channels is organised by a solid partition in the marginal zone dividing the marginal zone into two parts with a rupture in the central zone. Both parts of the marginal zone contain rectilinear radial channels, the length of which does not exceed the length of the initial section of the boundary layer. The rectilinear radial channels form ring groups separated from each other by continuous annular channels tangential thereto, the arrangement of the rectilinear radial channels and the ends of the protrusions in adjacent circular groups of channels are such that opposite the rectilinear radial channels of one ring group are the ends of the protrusions of the other ring group of channels. The central zone consists of channels, the length of which is from 0.2 to 0.8 of the length of the rectilinear radial channels of the marginal zone and they are arranged in such a way that by their organisation the direction of the reagent flow is organized from the entrance of the central zone to the outlet from it.
EFFECT: aligning the flow of fuel, oxidant and coolant on the area of the bipolar plates, reducing the hydraulic resistance and increasing the FC efficiency.
