FIELD: solid oxide fuel cells.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solid oxide fuel cells based on planar membrane-electrode assemblies. In fuel cell blocks, metal bipolar interconnectors are replaced with 3D printed ceramic plates that form gas distribution channels, form a battery frame and provide the possibility of monopolar switching of membrane-electrode blocks with thin metal sheets with conductive protective coatings.
EFFECT: invention increases the power density of fuel cell units by reducing their weight.
