FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a nucleic acid construct and chimeric protein for polypeptide localization to chloroplast, and to a construct for chloroplast targeting polypeptide expression in the plant cell. Also a transgenic plant cell, a transgenic plant, a transgenic plant part, a transgenic plant seed, as well as a transgenic plant cell culture containing this chimeric protein are disclosed. The invention also relates to a method for production of a transgenic plant material which expresses polypeptide in chloroplasts, which plant material comprises transformation by the above nucleic acid construct for polypeptide localization to the chloroplast.
EFFECT: invention allows efficient polypeptide localization to the chloroplast.
