SUBSTANCE: method includes measuring the energy irradiance generated by a tubular lamp at a known distance from the lamp axis using a photodetector with a cosine indicatrix sensitivity located at a measurement point on the perpendicular to the axis of the tube lamp passing through its center and calculating the radiation flow of the lamp. The removal of the photodetector from the axis of the tube lamp is chosen from the inequality R<h<L, and the calculation of the radiation flow of the tube lamp is performed according to a calculated relation connecting the energy illuminance with half the length of the tube lamp L, the radius of the tube lamp R, and the removal of the photodetector from the axis of the tube lamp h.
