FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: smoking article comprising a tobacco rod or an aerosol-generating substrate; profiled filter element axially aligned and connected by means of tipping paper to the tobacco rod or the aerosol-generating substrate, wherein the profiled filter element has a cylindrical end portion facing the tobacco rod and the mouthpiece cylindrical end portion, and also the profiled portion with a predetermined shape provided between the cylindrical end portion facing the tobacco rod and the mouthpiece cylindrical end portion. The profiled portion forms the outer surface of the smoking article and has the first cross-sectional area less than the cross-sectional area of the cylindrical end portion facing the tobacco rod or the mouthpiece cylindrical end portion, the tipping paper being arranged around the cylindrical end portion of the profiled filter element, but at the same time being not arranged around the profiled portion of the profiled filter element.
EFFECT: creating a smoking article which would be easily held by a user and which would have an ergonomic shape of the filter portion while maintaining the cylindrical shape of the mouthpiece end portion.
