SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electrophotographic photosensitive drum unit used for a process cartridge, that is removably mounted in the main assembly of the electrophotographic image forming device. The stated electrophotographic photosensitive drum unit comprises: (i) a cylinder having a photosensitive layer at its outer periphery, (ii) a drum flange mounted on the longitudinal end portion of the said cylinder to retain the connecting element inside it, which is rotatable against the axis of the said cylinder, and (iii) a locking portion to prevent disengagement of the said connecting element from the said flange, wherein the said locking portion is deformed radially outward from the said flange, to permit the installation or removal of the said connecting element against the said flange.
EFFECT: development of the easily implemented method for removing the connecting element, development of the electrophotographic photosensitive drum unit, in which the connecting element removal is easy to be carried out, and development of the electrophotographic photosensitive drum unit, in which the connecting element installation is easy to be carried out.
