FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: pre-surfacing the aluminium layer is performed in shielding gases using an electrode wire made of aluminium or aluminium alloys. The aluminium layer is then re-melted using a steel electrode wire. Remelting of the aluminium layer with introduction of liquid steel into the aluminium bath allows, depending on the deposition modes, to form a surfaced layer based on iron aluminides with a chemical composition corresponding to the chemical composition of the intermetallic phases of Fe3Al.
EFFECT: high performance properties of the part are achieved due to the high homogeneity of the chemical composition of the surfaced metal.
