FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: system comprises: selectively transparent projection device for projecting an image toward the observer's eye from the position of the projection device in space relative to the observer's eye; an obstacle mask device connected to the projection device and configured to selectively block light traveling in the direction of the eye from one or more positions opposite the projection device from the observer's eye in a blocking pattern; and a zone-plate diffraction pattern forming apparatus placed between the observer's eye and the projection device and configured to ensure that light from the projection device passes through a diffraction pattern having a selectable geometry as it moves to the eye and entered the eye with a simulated focal length from the eye, based on the chosen geometry of the diffraction pattern.
EFFECT: ensuring an accurate accommodation, which takes into account the accommodation aspects of the imaging complex by the human eye.
