FIELD: tracking system.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a compact, invisible, high-speed eye-tracking system, which can be used both as a separate device and embedded into any type of virtual reality devices. Disclosed is an eye tracking system and a method of operating the system. System comprises an infrared radiation source, a collimating lens, an infrared divider, a waveguide, first and second input / output elements, an array of photodiodes, and a signal processing module. Also disclosed is a virtual reality system using an eye tracking system comprising: an image source, a lens, a diaphragm, an image displacement system, a source of infrared radiation, an infrared mirror, a collimating lens, an infrared divider, a waveguide, first and second diffraction gratings RGB, first and second input / output elements, an array of photodiodes, a signal processing module and a controller.
EFFECT: creation of a compact, invisible, high-speed eye tracking system, which can be used both as a separate device, and built into any type of devices, such as, for example, augmented reality (AR) devices, virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR), in devices (portable or helmet-mounted) displays (HMD).
