FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: ultrasound and radiological examination is performed. According to the X-ray examination in Lauenstein's position, the epiphyseal index (EI) of sick and healthy limbs is determined. The epiphyseal asymmetry (EA) value is determined according to the claimed formula. At the EA value of more than 12.4% in children from 2 to 4 years, more than 4.8% in children from 5 to 7 years, more than 9.9% in children from 8 to 12 years, and ultrasound detection of hyperbolic limbus, with uneven contours and position in the form of an intimate attachment to a thickened, heterogeneous capsular structure, presence of cloudy and granular positive inclusions in the neck-capsular pocket the presence of initial signs of aseptic necrosis of the femoral head is determined.
EFFECT: method allows to accurately diagnose the initial signs of aseptic necrosis of the femoral head in children due to the simultaneous use of the method for hip joint ultrasonography and the method for radiography with integral evaluation of the study results.
