FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: two-component nozzle for spraying the liquid-gas mixture contains the nozzle body, having at least one liquid inlet, leading to the mixing chamber and at least one gas inlet leading to the mixing chamber. The nozzle also contains the swirl insert, the outlet chamber between the swirl insert and the outlet opening at the downstream end of the outlet chamber. The throttle is provided at the downstream end of the mixing chamber. The intermediate chamber is provided between the throttle and the swirl insert. In the method of the liquid-gas mixture spraying, using the two-component nozzle, the liquid-gas mixture is formed in the mixing chamber, rotate around the central longitudinal axis by means of the swirl insert and discharge outside through the outlet. The liquid-gas mixture is then directed through the throttle at the downstream end of the mixing chamber. After this, the liquid-gas mixture is directed through the intermediate chamber between the throttle and the swirl insert. The long length products in the continuous casting plant can be subjected to various cooling modes by changing the water and/or air pressure of the two-component nozzle.

EFFECT: provision of the possibility to adjust the required water distribution by adjusting the water or air pressure at the constant angle of the jet opening.
