FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: device for preparing extruded food products comprises a working chamber made with the possibility of accommodating the ingredients during the device operation, an extrusion head, a rotating shaft configured to mix the ingredients and to extrude food products through the extrusion head, and a drive system through which the rotating shaft is actuated. The drive system is made with the configuration providing the possibility to interrupt the extrusion for at least one time period during which the rotary shaft rotates in the first direction, which is the opposite to the second direction, in which the rotary shaft rotates in order to extrude food products. The accumulations inside the working chamber can be removed by striking the sticky dough with stirring bars on the rotating shaft when it rotates in the opposite direction.

EFFECT: increasing the minimization of food waste during the extrusion process.
