FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: to obtain elemental tellurium, hydrolysis of tellurium hexafluoride is carried out at a pressure above atmospheric and reaction mixture temperature of 80-90°C. Telluric acid, formed as a result of hydrolysis, is reduced at a temperature of 80-90°C an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid hydrazine with a concentration of 40-50%. The resulting elemental tellurium powder is filtered, washed on the filter with water to neutral medium and dried. The powder is reduced in a hydrogen medium at a temperature of 570-590°C to exclude a possible impurity of tellurium oxides.
EFFECT: invention allows to obtain tellurium of natural isotopic composition or having a displaced isotope composition with a high content of the basic substance and a high yield.
