FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: produced amines find application as intermediates in organic synthesis and for the production of pharmacological drugs. The method consists in that an amine selected from the series of aniline, cyclohexylamine, octylamine is reacted with butyronitrile or valeronitrile and molecular hydrogen in the presence of nickel nanoparticles at the temperature of 120-200°C. Nickel nanoparticles immobilized on activated carbon are used as a catalyst. The reactants are fed directly to the catalyst by two streams, the first of which is hydrogen supplied at the flow rate of 6000 l/(kgcath⋅h), the second - a mixture of nitrile and amine, taken in the molar ratio of 1:1-2, supplied at the rate of 3.6 liters/(kgcath⋅h).
EFFECT: method allows to increase the selectivity of the process, to increase the yield of the product and to simplify the process by allowing it to be continuously introduced into the displacement and recycle reactor of unreacted starting compounds.
