SUBSTANCE: system for determining the location of crashed aircraft, contains a "black box" with alarm, placed in the aircraft tail, a GPS receiver, an electromagnetic wave generator and a checkpoint. The "black box" contains a unit generating sound and electromagnetic wave generators, a power unit, a lever-switch, a compressed air chamber, a torus-type rubber chamber, a parachute, a flexible antenna, a niche, a sound-emitter, a cable-rope, a connector. The GPS receiver includes a duplexer, a transmit-receive antenna, a phase doubler, two narrow-band filters, a phase divider into two, a phase detector, a computational unit connected in a certain way. The electromagnetic wave generator comprises a modular code generator, a delay line, an adder, a pseudorandom sequence generator, a phase manipulator, a power amplifier connected in a certain way. The checkpoint contains a measuring channel and four direction-finding channels. The measuring channel comprises a receiving antenna, a high frequency amplifier, a mixer, a local oscillator, a search unit, an intermediate frequency amplifier, a phase doubler, two spectrum analyzers, a comparison unit, a threshold unit, a delay line, a key, a phase detector, a phase divider into two, a narrowband filter. Each direction-finding channel contains a receiving antenna, a high frequency amplifier, a multiplier, a narrowband filter, a phase meter. In addition, the checkpoint contains three subtractors, three adders, two phase meters, a registration unit connected in a certain way.
