FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to satellite systems for determining the location of emergency radio beacons (ERB) transmitting radio distress signals. System comprises first 1 and second 2 emergency radio beacon (ERB), artificial earth satellite (AES) 3 and information receiving point 16. AES 3 comprises antennas 4–8, receiving devices 9–11, memory devices 12 and 13, transmitter 14 with antenna 15. Information receiving point 16 comprises receiving antenna 17, receiving device 18, first 19 and second 20 information processing device, device 21 for interfacing with communication networks, device 22 for monitoring and control, device 23 for connection of search and rescue organizations. Third receiving device 11 comprises measuring and four direction-finding channels. Measurement channel comprises receiving antenna 4, mixers, heterodynes, a first intermediate frequency amplifier, a search unit, a phase-shift keyed signal detector, a phase doubler, spectrum width meters, a comparator unit, a threshold unit, a delay line, switches, amplifier of the second intermediate frequency, demodulator of phase-shift keyed signals, multiplier, narrow-band filters, low-pass filters, total frequency amplifier, amplitude detector, phase inverters, subtractor. Direction-finding channels have receiving antennas 4–8, mixers, amplifiers of the first intermediate frequency, multipliers, narrow-band filters, phase meters, adders, subtractors.

EFFECT: high noise-immunity and reliability of received complex signals with phase manipulation by suppressing false signals (interference) received through additional channels, and narrow-band interference received along the main channel.
