FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: deposition from coating material vapour phase on the surface of the product is carried out. The product is placed in a reactor on a heated pedestal, then quantity of a precursor compound in an amount of 200-400 mg is loaded into at least one evaporator, as the precursor compound acetylacetonate derivatives of platinum group metals are used selected from the group consisting of iridium (III) acetylacetonate; iridium (I) dicarbonyl acetylacetonate, iridium (I) 1,5-cyclooctadiene (acetylacetonate), platinum (II) acetylacetonate, trimethylacetylacetonatopyridine-platinum (IV), or a combination thereof. The reactor is evacuated to a residual pressure of less than 1 Torr, the evaporator temperatures are set to 83-180°C and the pedestal temperatures are set to 240-310°C, then the argon carrier gas is introduced through the evaporator at a rate of 1.5-2.5 l/h and the reagent gas in the form of oxygen or hydrogen directly into the reactor at a rate of 1-1.2 l/h. Then, the pressure in the reactor is set from 10 to 100 Torr and the coating deposition process is carried out for 3-4 hours. In special cases of invention embodiment, before coating the products, the latter are boiled in isopropanol for 20-30 minutes and dried. Platinum, iridium, iridium oxide or their composites (PtxIry, Irx(IrO2)y, where x=1-7, and y=1-9) are used as the coating material.
EFFECT: obtaining coatings with developed surface of fractal type and with high electrochemical characteristics.
