FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in gears lubricated by magnetic powder method. The gear wheel comprises a body and a toothed rim with teeth made of ferromagnetic material. A pair of circular straps made of diamagnetic material adjacent to the gear rim is secured on teeth ends and sections of the body ends. The outer diameter of the straps is not less than the diameter of the circumference of the gear rim vertices. The thickness of the straps is variable increasing from minimum along their inner perimeter to maximum along their outer perimeter.
EFFECT: improved quality of gear wheel lubrication quality.
