FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: reproductive qualities of meat cattle cows in terms of productivity are determined according to the elemental composition of wool. Concentration of chemical elements of copper, iodine, selenium and zinc is determined, and at copper concentration of 5.51-7.57 mcg/g, iodine concentration of 0.332-0.575 mcg/g, selenium concentration of 0.496-0.797 mcg/g, zinc concentration of 116.0-146.0 mcg/g, reproductive qualities of cows are estimated as high, the animals are good at bulling and inseminated, at copper concentration of 3.54-5.50 mcg/g, iodine concentration of 0.111-0.331 mcg/g, selenium concentration of 0.348-0.495 mcg/g, zinc concentration of 90.0-115.0 mcg/g, reproductive qualities are assessed as low, animals are not good at bulling, not inseminated, require rations correction in terms of these elements.

EFFECT: method allows to simplify evaluation of the reproductive ability of cows.
