FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: method to diagnose chronical microelementosis of farm hoofed animals characterised by sampling hair by means of its clipping off a tail switch, quartering of samples to produce an averaged sample in the amount of 1.0-1.4 g, sample preparation, including its multiple treatment in bidistilled water at 30-40°C with permanent shuttling, subsequent drying at 105-110°C to air dry condition, ignition of a sample in a mixture of concentrated nitric and chloric acids, analysis of concentrations of microelements and comparison of produced results with data of critical concentrations of elements, which, when exceeded, indicate availability of a disease. Clipping of hair is carried out with weight of at least 10 g, and sample treatment is carried out at least for 3 times within at least 30 min. Analysis of concentrations of microelements is carried out by the method of atomic-adsorption spectroscopy.

EFFECT: production of valid data in life-time diagnostics of chronic microelementosis of farm hoofed animals of various aetiology.
