EAR PLUG WITH A CAVITY IN THE EAR TIP AND METHODS FOR ITS MANUFACTURE Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61F11/08

Abstract RU 2631199 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: ear plug contains a solid core with the first and second ends and a fastening surface. The longitudinal axis extends between the first end and the second end of the core. The invention comprises a sound attenuating element attached to the fastening surface. The sound-attenuating element contains an ear tip and a base. The ear tip of the sound-attenuating element is located near the first end, its base is located closer to the second end than to the first end. The core is made extended through the sound-attenuating element and fills the sound-attenuating element. The plug contains an ear tip cavity in the sound-attenuating element. The ear tip cavity is made extended from the sound-attenuating element ear tip towards the bottom. The lower part is closest to the base of the sound-attenuating element. The lower part is located between the tip and the base of the sound-attenuating element. The ear tip cavity has a cross-sectional area larger than the cross-sectional area of the core. The cross-sectional area of the earpiece cavity is measured in the first plane located at the first end of the core and across the longitudinal axis. The cross-sectional area of the core is measured in the second plane transverse to the longitudinal axis. The second plane passes through the sound-attenuating element under the lower part of the ear tip cavity and above the base of the sound-attenuating element. The second version of the ear plug specifies that the cross-sectional area of the ear tip cavity is 1.5 times or more larger than the cross-sectional area of the core. The method for ear plug manufacture comprises the step of coating the bonding surface of the solid core that comprises the first material with the second material containing an unactivated foaming agent, the step of introduction of the core first end and the second material portion into the mould cavity, the step of unactivated foaming agent activation.

EFFECT: group of inventions facilitates ear plugs introduction and reduces user sensitivity.
