FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Ear plug contains a leg and a noise-reducing body part attached to the leg. Noise-reducing body part comprises a front end, an end of the base, a longitudinal axis extending between the front end and the base end, and a collar extending at least partially around the leg and configured to be placed in the ear canal. Bead comprises an outer surface and an inner surface having a plurality of protrusions and/or recesses, and a collar cavity defining a continuous volume around the perimeter of the leg between the inner surface of the collar and the leg. Bead has a variable perimeter thickness, measured as the distance between the inner and outer surfaces of the collar in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. Hearing protection device comprises a leg comprising a core made of a first material and an outer layer made of a second material and a noise reducing body attached to the leg. Noise-reducing body part comprises a front end, an end of the base, a longitudinal axis extending between the front end and the base end, and a collar extending at least partially around the leg and configured to be placed in the ear canal. Bead comprises an outer surface and an inner surface having a plurality of protrusions and/or recesses, and a collar cavity defining a continuous volume around the perimeter of the leg between the inner surface of the collar and the leg. Bead has a minimum thickness (Fmin) and a maximum thickness (Fmax), measured as the distance between the inner and outer surfaces of the bead in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, whose values are selected in the range: 0.5 mm<(Fmin)<1.5 mm, 1.5 mm<(Fmax)<5 mm. Said protrusions on the inner surface of the bead have a width (w), measured as the distance between two adjacent shoulder portions on which it has a minimum thickness (Fmin) and selected in the range of 2 mm<(w)<8 mm.
EFFECT: inventions provide minimum contact of the user with the noise reducing part of the ear plug before inserting it into the ear canal.
