SUBSTANCE: method comprises: (a) identification of at least one epitope of NKT cells, wherein the motif of the said NKT cell epitope is [FWTHY]-X2X3-[ILMV]-X5X6-[FWTHY], wherein at least one NKT cell epitope is in SEQ ID NO: 1 and (b) modification of the said epitope(s) by replacing at least one hydrophobic amino acid residue at position P1 and P7 with one amino acid other than F, W, T, H, Y.

EFFECT: invention allows to obtain an active molecule of factor VIII, which has a reduced ability to activate NKT cells due to reduced binding to the CD1d molecule.
