FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining fire-extinguishing microcapsules containing an extinguishing agent and a polymer shell is described, which includes the steps of emulsifying an extinguishing agent - perfluoro(ethyl-isopropylketone) in a solution of polyvinyl alcohol and adding a reactive melamine-formaldehyde resin to the solution of the polymer, followed by the addition of an acid with vigorous stirring in 450-500 ml of water at 40-45°C for 7-15 min to isolate the coacervate phase to form a polymeric liquid-viscous wall on the surface of the capsules, followed by post-condensation for 110-130 min with stirring, with further heating leading to the formation of a hard capsule wall with an extinguishing agent characterized by the ability of an explosive-like opening in the temperature range 90-110°C, after which the capsules are washed with distilled water and dried, and the capsule wall can be multilayered. Also, microcapsule and other methods for preparing fire extinguishing microcapsules are described.
EFFECT: microcapsules having the ability of explosion-like opening in a narrow predetermined temperature range were obtained.
