FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: discrete microwave phase shifter contains the same first and second segments of the transmission line, one ends of which are connected to the input and output of the phase shifter respectively, and the other connected to each other, the input and output of the phase shifter are further connected to one ends of identical third and fourth segments of the transmission line, between the other ends of which, the first commutating diode is included. The wave resistance of the third and fourth line segments is two times higher than the resistance of the input and output. To the point of connection of the first and second segments of the transmission line, a second switching diode is connected at one terminal, the second terminal of which is connected to one end of the fifth segment of the transmission line, the second end of which is open. The length and wave impedance of the first and second segments of the transmission line are equal to the length and wave impedance of the third and fourth transmission line segments.
EFFECT: increase in the amount of phase change when the standing wave ratio is decreased.
