FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying a set of irregularly shaped spots to the masking object of the material, which is a halftone raster, the frequency of which is chosen so that the raster elements are perceived from small distances as single spots, and when viewed from large distances, they are grouped into large blocks. The spots are created by combining and closing into the contour of a patch of fragments of the shoreline boundaries of an arbitrarily selected continent, peninsula or fragments of state boundaries on an electronic map using graphic editors. Herewith the spots are selected, the fractal dimension of which is maximally close to the fractal dimension of the elements of the background area, on which the object is masked.
EFFECT: increasing the masking properties.
