FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: dry coke quenching chamber includes a body with loading 4 and unloading 9 holes, rows of brickwork 2 located inside the body and forming a prechamber 5 with a quenching chamber 7 with a slide seam 10, and brickwork of inclined gas flue bulk-heads 3. Between the first five rows of brickwork, below the sliding seam, there are metal ties 11 mounted over entire perimeter of chamber along radial axis of each gas flue bulk-head, at least in one row, each of which is made in the form of a plate with ribs projecting downwards and upwards from its flat surfaces, and fixed on one edge and on the other edge of the plate by a threaded screw which is connected to a shell 1 of the chamber body. The plate ribs projecting downwards and upwards from the plate flat surfaces are made at least in the form of T-shaped structure made according to the geometry of the seams and entering the seams of the lower and upper brickwork rows. The metal tie along the length is made equal to 0.8-0.9 of the chamber brickwork width.
EFFECT: increased brickwork resistance, increased its service life.
