FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method for artificial tooth manufacture includes:(a) placement of a liquid composition of dental photocurable plastic containing an organic compound undergoing radical polymerization (A), a filler (B) and a photosensitive radical polymerization initiator (C), in a moulding container having a translucent bottom surface, and irradiation of the said composition in the moulding container with light having a predetermined template shape through the translucent bottom surface of the said container in accordance with the thin section data of each layer, derived from computer assisted densitometry (CAD) of the tooth, to form a cured plastic layer having a predetermined template shape for one tooth layer; (b) lifting of the cured plastic layer for a single layer of tooth formed in step (a), so as to allow the liquid composition of the dental photocurable plastic to flow into the space between the lower surface of the cured resin layer and the moulding container bottom surface and irradiation of the said composition with light in a preformed shape between the lower surface of the cured plastic layer and the moulding container bottom surface through the translucent bottom surface of the said container in accordance with the thin section data of each layer obtained from computer assisted densitometry (CAD) of the tooth, with further formation of a cured plastic layer having a predetermined template shape for one tooth layer; and (c) repeating the operation from step (b) till a predetermined artificial tooth is obtained. A liquid composition of dental photocurable plastic is also provided for use in the above process.

EFFECT: use of the group of inventions allows to produce an artificial tooth that is excellent in strength, abrasion resistance, hardness, low water absorption, aesthetic property, functionality and other qualities in a short period of time, namely less than 1 hour.
