FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: for the treatment of the diabetic foot complications in patients with diabetes mellitus before the formation of the ulcerous defect, the toe-brachial index (TBI) of each foot is determined. If the TBI value is less than 0.7, the shock wave therapy (SWT) is performed during a 3-week course by two sessions per week, affecting the foot which shows a decrease in the TBI.
EFFECT: allows to improve the microcirculation of tissues in the area of action by stimulating physiological angiogenesis in patients at the early stages of the diabetic foot syndrome before the formation of the ulcerous defect.
