FIELD: medicine; functional diagnostics; cardiovascular surgery; endocrinology; internal medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to detect hemodynamically significant stenoses of lower extremity arteries in patients. Using incoherent optical fluctuation flowmetry on the upper limbs, the baseline perfusion level is measured without the use of functional effects on the palmar surface of the index finger of the upper limb. The measurements are also performed on the lower extremities, without the use of functional influences, and on the plantar surface of the big toe of the same side of the body. Perfusion values are recorded for 40 seconds on the index finger of the upper limb and for 40 seconds on the thumb of the lower limb. Upper limb baseline perfusion (BUPvk) is calculated as the median of perfusion estimated over 40 seconds in the upper limb. Baseline perfusion level in the lower limb (BULnc) is calculated as the median of perfusion assessed over 40 seconds in the lower limb. The comparative coefficient is calculated as the ratio of BUPvk/BUPnk for the left and right sides, respectively. If the values of the coefficient BUPvk/BUPnk equal to 12.5 or more are reached, the presence of hemodynamically significant stenosis of the arteries of the lower limb on the corresponding side is detected.
EFFECT: invention allows to identify patients with hemodynamically significant stenoses with high accuracy and low operator dependence by direct registration of skin perfusion of the upper and lower extremities without pressure measurement and can be used both for persons without carbohydrate metabolism disorders and for patients with diabetes mellitus.
