SUBSTANCE: method for eliminating an accident during a spill of radioactive solutions, including applying a polymer composition containing spillage to the spill site, drying the resulting mixture and removing it from the surface to be treated. A polymer-containing composition capable of absorbing aqueous organic solutions or mixtures thereof is applied in the form of a powder or a wet gel, and deactivating agents are previously introduced into its composition.

EFFECT: invention allows to remove from the surface of the spilled radioactive liquid with the simultaneous cleaning of the surface contaminated by the accident.
