SUBSTANCE: data processing method comprises: identifying the old uplink-downlink configuration and the new uplink-downlink configuration; identifying the uplink-downlink reference configuration for the cell; obtaining the maximum number of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes based on the identified uplink-downlink reference configuration; obtaining a soft buffer size based on the maximum number of the downlink HARQ processes; and performing the data rate matching based on the soft buffer size; and sending rate-consistent data to the UE on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The uplink-downlink reference configuration is an old uplink-downlink configuration or indicated by a radio resource control (RRC) signaling.
