FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: in the presented method, steel is hardened from temperature 850-860°C and subsequent tempering at 560-570°C for one hour, then hardening is carried out at temperature of 1200-1240°C and tempering at 590-600°C for two hours.
EFFECT: increase in strength, impact hardness and resistance.
