FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention is primarily used for transporting metallic melt from a first metallurgical module to a second metallurgical module, for example, during production of slabs under continuous casting of ferrous and non-ferrous melts. The submersible pouring shell comprises a tubular body with a central longitudinal axis and a passage extending from inlet at a first end of the pouring shell to a second end of the pouring shell. The second end of the pouring shell contains a base that is either flat or convex when viewed from the outside. The passage ends in at least one outlet which is in the form of a long slot continuously extending from a position located at a distance from the base, down to the base and penetrating therein. The slot has long side walls extending in a plane located at an angle <45 degrees to a plane containing the central longitudinal axis and has a helical or helically shaped length.
EFFECT: continuous metal flow from one metallurgical module to another.
