FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of wide strips from copper or copper alloys by casting liquid melt into rotary crystalliser, for example, belt crystalliser. Melt surface in intermediate distributing vessel 9 is kept at constant level H above the point nozzle 14 enters intermediate distributing vessel 9 by 75-90 mm from the level of surface of bath 7 in crystalliser 1. Melt is fed via ascending channel 11 from vessel 9 to nozzle 14 to be distributed in inside nozzle 14 symmetrically over its width that corresponds to that of stripe being produced. Inside nozzle 14, melt is forced through, at least, first restrictor 16. At nozzle outlet point, nozzle 14 is turned by restrictor 21 to ward crystalliser surface 7. Melt is distributed in vertical direction over the entire width of crystalliser belt to make several laminar flows running in strip drawing direction at opening angle (a) making 15-30° relative to bath surface in crystalliser 1.

EFFECT: strip with cast structure of required quality.
