SUBSTANCE: in the mould having a first cavity with a removable element, the first component is arranged in the form of particles. The first component is compressed along the first axis and the first layer of a free-standing, self-supporting multilayer article is obtained. Removable member is then removed and at least one additional particulate component is placed in the mould. At least one additional component is compressed along the first axis in at least one additional compression step to produce at least one additional layer. Wherein, the first layer contacts one additional layer along the first interface, parallel to the first axis, and along the second interface, perpendicular to the first axis. At least one additional compression step includes, before the free-standing, self-supporting multilayer article is removed from the mould, application of at least one additional component of compressive force that is greater than the first compressive force applied to the first component to produce the first layer.
EFFECT: providing the possible to produce multilayer articles, having a combination of transverse and longitudinal layers from particles.
