FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the tobacco industry, more specifically to methods for making a combustible source for an aerosol-forming article, such as an electronic cigarette. Proposed methods comprise the following operations: a) providing a mould forming a cavity having a first opening; b) providing a chamber above said cavity, wherein the chamber has a second opening in fluid communication with the first opening; c) placing the particulate component in the chamber; d) compressing the particulate component in the chamber to a first pressure with forced flow into said cavity; e) compressing the particulate component in the cavity to a second pressure which is higher than said first pressure to form a combustible heat source.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of producing combustible heat sources for aerosol-forming articles.
