FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an injector assembly for spraying a fluid stream that is pressurized into fine particles, and can be used, for example, to administer medicaments by inhalation, to deliver flavors, etc. The injector assembly for spraying a fluid stream that is pressurized into fine particles has: a conical element and a mating element provided with a notch. The conical element has an upper surface, a lower surface and an outer surface that adjoins the upper and lower surfaces. The outer surface has a large number of grooves, formed therein, that extend between the lower surface and the upper surface. The mating element is arranged to receive the conical element and has an inner surface, so that the grooves are at least partially covered by the inner surface to form a large number of channels. The channels define the outlets to discharge an appropriate fluid stream which, in a region remote from the upper surface of the conical element, collides with at least one other fluid stream to thereby spray the fluid flow. The conical element is movable along the axis to increase or decrease the effective cross-section of the injector assembly. At least one of the channels has a cross section that differs from the cross section of at least one of the other channels.
EFFECT: reduction of production costs, simplification of cleaning and possibility of changing the nozzle to spray fluids with different viscosities or to adapt to other required qualities in the planned application.
