FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: selective extraction of indium from sulfate zinc solutions includes the stage of sorption of indium on mineral aluminosilicate ionite-montmorillonite modified with di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (D2EHPK) and the subsequent stage of desorption of indium with a solution of hydrochloric acid. Herewith the sorption is carried out with, at least, 4 sorption steps at a process temperature of, at least, 55°C; acidity of the solution is not more than 60 g/dm3 of sulfuric acid and the volumetric rate of transmission of the solution through the layer of ion exchanger - not more than 1 hour-1.
EFFECT: simplification of the process due to the elimination of the extraction stage and the formation of an emulsion that hampers the separation of the organic and aqueous phases, the absence of a residual equilibrium concentration of indium in the processed sulfate zinc solutions.
