FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy; technology of trace rare elements; extraction of indium from sulfate zinc solutions at increased content of silica.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes stages of extraction of indium by organic phase containing di-2-ethyl hexyl phosphoric acid in diluent followed by stage of re-extraction of indium by sulfuric acid solution and chloride-containing agent; diluent contains 2-ethyl hexanoic acid of fraction C8 and oil paraffin of fraction C13 at the following relationship of components in organic phase, vol.-%: di-2ethyl hexyl phosphoric acid, 15-20; 2-ethyl hexanoic acid of fraction C8, 30-35; oil paraffin of fraction C13, 45-55.
EFFECT: reduced formation of difficultly breaking emulsions; increased extraction of indium at extraction stage.
